Ghulam Nabi Azad Claims Pakistan Hosts More Terrorists Than Anywhere Else in the World

The All-Party Delegation in Bahrain: A Unified Front Against Terrorism

A Historic Visit

Recently, former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad, who leads the Democratic Progressive Azad Party, joined an all-party delegation in Bahrain. This delegation, spearheaded by BJP MP Baijayant Jay Panda, aims to address significant geopolitical issues while promoting India’s stance on counter-terrorism. It reflects a rare moment of unity among Indian political leaders, setting aside party affiliations to tackle a collective challenge: the global threat of terrorism.

Unity in Diversity

During his visit, Mr. Azad expressed his satisfaction at witnessing harmony among various religious communities in Bahrain. He described the country as a "mini India," highlighting the coexistence of people from different faiths without any restrictions. Azad emphasized that, despite diverse political backgrounds, Indian leaders stand united when representing their nation abroad. This sentiment resonates deeply in today’s fragmented political landscape, underscoring the potential for cooperation in international relations.

Concerns Over Terrorism

A salient point made by Azad was his alarming assertion regarding terrorism. He stated, “probably the number of terrorists living in Pakistan is more than the number of terrorists residing all over the world.” This statement not only emphasizes the ongoing challenges posed by terrorism but also seeks to highlight the necessity for global collaboration in combating these threats.

Strengthening Ties with Bahrain

Former Indian envoy Harsh Vardhan Shringla, who is part of the same delegation, reiterated India and Bahrain’s commitment to counter-terrorism. He recalled the 2015 agreement between the two nations aimed at combatting terrorism, noting that a joint security dialogue was established in 2019 to fortify this commitment. Shringla’s remarks stress the importance of maintaining open channels of communication between security agencies of both countries.

A Comprehensive Approach

The delegation’s multifaceted agenda encapsulates not only an immediate response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack but also broader discussions on India’s anti-terrorism policies. Engaging with leaders in regions like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Algeria, the delegation aims to reshape international perceptions of India’s zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism.

Countering Misinformation

The delegation is composed of a diverse group of representatives, including Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, and AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi, among others. Their collective mission is to counter global misinformation about India’s stance on security issues. This initiative reflects a growing acknowledgment that international narratives concerning terrorism must be addressed cohesively, and that collaboration among multiple political representatives amplifies this message.

In a complex international landscape, the all-party delegation’s visit to Bahrain serves as a testament to India’s commitment to fighting terrorism while reinforcing diplomatic relationships with key partners in the region. Through discussions and collaborations, there lies an opportunity for a united front against a common enemy.
